Privacy Policy

Effective November 8, 2026

Data Does Not Lie ("we," "us") operates datadoesnotlie.com and the Daybreak product. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run the service, we do not sell your information, and you can opt out of our messages at any time.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email address, company, and anything you include when you request a demo or contact us.
  • Business data you connect: when you use Daybreak, we process the sales and customer data you connect or upload (such as a Square account or a CSV export) solely to provide the service to you. That data remains yours.
  • Usage data: basic technical information such as pages visited and device type, used to keep the site and product working well.

How we use information

  • To respond to demo requests and inquiries.
  • To provide, maintain, and improve Daybreak and our services.
  • To send communications you have opted into, described below.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Email communications

We send marketing and product emails only to people who have opted in, for example by requesting a demo or signing up for updates. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out stops those emails. We may still send transactional emails related to a service you use, such as receipts or account notices.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and opt in to text messages from Data Does Not Lie, you consent to receive informational and marketing texts from us at that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.

Business data processed in Daybreak

Data our customers connect to Daybreak is used only to provide the service to that customer: building their reports, segments, recommendations, and the campaigns they choose to run. We do not sell it, and we do not use one customer's data for another customer's benefit. Customers can request export or deletion of their data at any time.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate (such as hosting, email and SMS delivery, and payment processing), and when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention and your choices

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your information at any time through the contact form on datadoesnotlie.com, and we will respond promptly.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data as if it were our own.

Children

Our site and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
